1. STUDYING OFFER FOR THE 2015-2016 ACADEMIC YEAR

 

The Department of IMST works in the Faculty of Mechanics, University of Craiova and assures university and post-graduation lectures structured on the following formation levels:

 

 1.1. Bachelor of science

        The studies in the license cycle are organised in such way that the competence domain of the license graduates is the execution function.

         In the department are autorized and accredited by the A.R.A.C.I.S. many specializations. The number of the approved places for the 2015-2016 academic year is:

The 1st and 2nd years of study rom the undergraduated cycle are common for all specialisations. The 3rd and 4th years of study are different in terms of the chosen speciality. The curricula can be visualised on the department site (www.imst.ro/academic).

 1.2. Master

The studies from the master are taking place after programs as follows:

     - to develop the aptitudes of research-analyse-diagnosis of the students;

     - to improve the students capacity in assuming the decision responsibility.

 

In the department are autorized and accredited by the A.R.A.C.I.S. many specializations. The number of the approved places for the 2015-2016 academic year is:

The courses are taking place as full-time studies (2 years = 4 semesters – 120 ECTS).

 

 

2. ADMISSION IN THE I.M.S.T. DEPARTMENT

 

The candidates admission procedure is based on the descending grade average (M) obtained at the admission competition for occupation of the budget and also tax places.

 

2.1. The average at the admission competition (M)

 M  =  100% MB  

where MB is the average of the grades obtained at the Baccalaureate exam.

  2.2. Tie solving issues

In case that two or more candidates have the same average grades at the admission competition, the tie solving will be made in two consecutive steps:

- grade at Romanian Language discipline (Baccalaureate);

- grade at Mathematics discipline (Baccalaureate).

 

         The department has an excellent endowment which includes:

• well arranged and equiped laboratories with specific latest machines;

• excellent PC network with internet access;

• library that offers a large number of university courses and speciality books.

 

         The department offers:

• the promotion of the studying years based on the European Credit Transfer System;

• possibility of participation in stages abroad;

• the possibility of continuing the studies through master and PhD.
